# Performance and Adoption

> Anonymized, institution-wide student outcomes, breakdowns by campus, grade band, and subject, and how much of ChimeEdu your teachers are using.

The **Performance** page answers two questions for Institution Admins and Leaders: *how are our students doing* and *how much are we using ChimeEdu*. Everything on it is institution-wide. There is deliberately no per-student and no per-teacher view.

## Privacy rules built into the numbers

* Every outcome figure is an average over a group of **at least 10 students**. Smaller groups show "Fewer than 10 students" instead of a number.
* A group backed by a **single teacher** is hidden too ("Hidden to protect privacy"), because a one-teacher number would effectively be a rating of that teacher.
* When hiding one small group would let someone work it out by subtraction from the total, the next-smallest group is hidden as well.

These thresholds are fixed across ChimeEdu and can't be lowered by an institution.

## Outcome metrics

Quizzes, maps, timelines, diagrams, Experiences, and study guides don't record per-student results, so they're listed under **Not tracked**.

Use the **Time window** control (all time, last 12 months, 90 days, 30 days) to narrow everything on the page.

## Breaking results down

The **By campus / grade band / subject** table shows one metric at a time across your campuses, or across the grade bands and subjects teachers have set on their classrooms.

  Grade band and subject come from each classroom's settings in the teacher app. If most of your results land in "Unspecified," ask teachers to set them — it's a two-field change on the classroom page.

**Assessment grade distribution** shows what share of graded work fell into each letter grade, again only when enough students are behind it.

## Adoption

The **Adoption** section shows how the institution is using ChimeEdu — counts, not outcomes, so the privacy thresholds above don't apply, but still never broken down by teacher:

* **Active teachers** out of your total (signed in within the time window; all-time means ever signed in)
* **Students enrolled** in your teachers' classrooms
* **Classrooms**, how many have a grade band or subject set, and how many were created in the window
* **Activities** in total and by type, plus assessments and study guides, with what's new in the window
* **Library resources** you've shared and how many times teachers have copied them

Totals are always all-time; the "new" figures follow the time window.
