# Settings and Branding

> Your institution's identity on ChimeEdu and the logos that appear on the staff dashboard and in the teacher app.

**Settings** shows your institution's identity and lets Institution Admins manage its branding. Leaders can view the page.

## Institution

Your institution's **name**, **type** (school, district, or network), and **status** are set by the ChimeEdu team when the institution is created. To change them, [contact us](https://app.chimeedu.com/contact).

## Logos

Upload two versions of your logo as PNG, JPG, GIF, or WebP up to 2 MB:

| Slot            | Shape      | Where it appears                                                                                                   |
| --------------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Square icon** | 1:1        | Beside the Dashboard link in the staff navigation, and beside the **Institution Library** title in the teacher app |
| **Wide logo**   | Horizontal | On the Institution card on this page, and on document and communication surfaces as they arrive                    |

Transparent backgrounds work best — each slot is previewed over both a light surface and the navy navigation band, and the page shows a live mock-up of where each logo lands. **Replace** or **Remove** either slot at any time.
