# AI-Powered Authoring Tools for Teachers on ChimeEdu

> ChimeEdu's AI tools help teachers draft study guides and fill-in-the-blank activities faster — powered by Claude, available on Premium.

ChimeEdu includes optional AI tools to help you draft content faster. The AI works from your materials — not from scratch. You paste in your notes, curriculum documents, or textbook excerpts, and the AI helps shape them into structured, student-ready drafts. You stay in control at every step.

## What AI tools are available

ChimeEdu currently offers AI assistance in two authoring workflows:

* **AI-assisted Study Guide drafting** — paste in your source material and let the AI suggest structure, headings, and expanded content for your study guide.
* **AI-assisted Fill-in-the-Blank authoring** — paste in a passage and let the AI recommend which words to blank out, with an explanation for each suggestion.

## The ChimeEdu AI philosophy

ChimeEdu's AI is designed as scaffolding, not a replacement. Here's what that means in practice:

* **You bring the content, AI helps structure it.** The AI never invents information. It works only from the material you provide — your notes, your curriculum, your words.
* **You stay the author, AI is the editor.** Every suggestion the AI makes is a draft for you to review, edit, and approve. Nothing reaches students without your sign-off.
* **AI assistance is always optional.** Every AI feature has a manual path. You can author and publish any activity or study guide without using AI at all.

## Privacy and your content

When you use an AI tool on ChimeEdu, the content you paste in is sent to the AI model solely to generate your draft or suggestions. Your content is **not** used to train AI models, and it is **not** stored or shared beyond that individual request.
