ChimeEdu is your classroom in a browser. Your teacher creates activities and posts them to your classroom feed — you complete them from any device, without needing to install anything. Everything your teacher assigns lives in one place, ready when you are.

What you’ll do on ChimeEdu

Depending on what your teacher sets up, you’ll use ChimeEdu for a range of activities:

Join Live Quizzes

Jump into real-time quiz sessions using a join code. Compete on the live leaderboard and see your results the moment you finish.

Complete Assessments

Submit formal assessments that are auto-graded and tracked in your teacher’s gradebook. Multiple question types, instant feedback.

Explore Maps and Timelines

Interact with pinned maps and sequenced timelines your teacher has built — great for history, geography, and any subject with a story.

Study with Flash Cards

Work through spaced-repetition flash card decks to lock in vocabulary and definitions at your own pace.

Write Journal Entries

Document field trips and real-world experiences through guided journal prompts your teacher creates.

Read Study Guides

Access structured study guides your teacher has published — organised by topic and available any time from your classroom feed.

Do you need an account?

It depends on what you’re doing:
  • For most activities — yes. You need a ChimeEdu account to join a classroom, track your progress, and submit assessments.
  • For live quizzes — you can join as a guest using just a join code. No account needed to play, but your results won’t be saved to a gradebook.
Creating a student account is free — no credit card required. It takes less than two minutes.
