Joining a classroom puts everything your teacher has published — quizzes, assessments, flash cards, maps, timelines, study guides, and Experiences — on your dashboard in one place.

What you need

Your teacher’s classroom code: 8 characters, letters and numbers, like KJ4M7NRW. They might give it to you directly, project a QR code, or send you a link with the code already in it.
This is not the same as a Quiz ID. Quiz IDs are 6 characters and get you into a live quiz without an account. A classroom code is 8 characters and requires an account.

If you don’t have an account yet

Follow your teacher’s sign-up link, or go to app.chimeedu.com/register and enter the classroom code there. You’ll be enrolled in the classroom as part of creating your account — see Create your student account for the full walkthrough.

Sign in

Log in at app.chimeedu.com/login with your email address and password.

Find the Join form

On your student dashboard, look for the option to join a classroom.

Enter the code

Type your teacher’s 8-character classroom code and submit. You’re enrolled straight away — there’s nothing to wait for and no approval needed.
If you already have an account, clicking your teacher’s sign-up link won’t enroll you — that link only works while creating a new account. Sign in and enter the code on your dashboard instead.

After you join

Open the classroom to see everything your teacher has published, sorted with the newest first. You can switch between tabs for activities, assessments, study guides, and Experiences, and search or re-sort the list. Some items need a little more before you can open them — assessments always ask for a password, and some study guides and Experiences do too. Your teacher will give you those.

Frequently asked

Yes — as many as you need. Enter each classroom’s code from your dashboard; you don’t need a separate account for each.
Check you’ve typed all 8 characters correctly and that you’re not using a 6-character Quiz ID by mistake. Teachers can also regenerate a classroom code, which retires the old one — ask your teacher for the current code.
Your teacher may not have published anything yet, or may have published items that are listed elsewhere. Give it a moment, refresh, and check with your teacher.
Ask your teacher — they manage the student list for their classroom.
