Enrolling students in your classroom is a one-step process — share the join link once, and your students have permanent access to every activity, assessment, study guide, and experience you publish from that point forward. You never need to re-share individual resources or send separate links for each piece of content.
1

Open your classroom

From your ChimeEdu dashboard, click on the classroom you want students to join.
2

Find and copy the join link

Locate the Join Link in your classroom settings or the classroom overview panel. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard.
3

Share the link with your students

Distribute the join link using whatever channel works best for your school:
  • Paste it into your LMS (Google Classroom, Canvas, Moodle, etc.)
  • Send it by email or a school messaging platform
  • Display it on a projector at the start of class so students can join on the spot
4

Students click the link and are enrolled

When a student clicks the join link and signs in to their ChimeEdu account, they are automatically enrolled. Their classroom feed populates immediately with all your published content — no approval step required on your end.
Display the join link on your projector during your first class of the term. Students can enrol on any device in under a minute, and you’ll have your whole class set up before the session ends.

What students see after enrolling

Once a student is enrolled, they see a personalised classroom feed every time they log in to ChimeEdu. Their feed shows:
  • All activities you’ve published (maps, quizzes, timelines, flash cards, fill-in-the-blank)
  • Any assessments currently set for the class
  • Study guides you’ve assigned for reading or revision
  • Experiences (field trips and shared journeys) linked to the classroom
Everything appears in order, in one place. Students don’t need separate links, and they can always scroll back to access earlier content — nothing disappears from their feed when you publish something new.

Viewing enrolled students

You can see who has enrolled in your classroom at any time from the classroom view. ChimeEdu also gives you a Submission Overview for each piece of content, showing:
  • How many students have completed or submitted each activity
  • A per-student breakdown so you can identify who hasn’t engaged yet
  • Completion rates across your last 30 days of published content
Use the submission overview to follow up with students who haven’t started an activity, or to celebrate the ones who’ve completed everything ahead of schedule.
Students need a ChimeEdu account to enrol in a classroom. If you’re running a one-off session or a demo lesson and don’t want students to create accounts, use Quick Activities instead — they work instantly with a join code and require no account on the student’s side.
