Some schools and districts manage their teachers through an institution on ChimeEdu. If yours does, and your account is linked to one of its campuses, you’ll find an Institution Library entry in your account menu. The library holds activities and study guides that your institution’s staff have chosen to share — usually built by colleagues at your school. Anything there can be copied into your own account.

Copying a resource

Open Institution Library

From your account menu in the top navigation.

Choose Copy to my account

The copy is created immediately and appears in your Activities or Study Guides, and the button turns into a link to open it.
Your copy is yours: edit it, attach it to your classrooms, or delete it. The original is unaffected, and later changes to the original don’t reach your copy.

What’s copied, and what isn’t

  • The content of the activity or study guide is copied in full.
  • Classroom attachments are not copied — you attach your copy to your own classrooms.
  • A map’s activity password is not copied.

Plan limits still apply

A copy counts toward your plan’s activity limit like anything else you create. Graphs & Charts and Diagrams require Plus or Premium, and study guides require Premium, so a copy of one of those needs the matching plan. If you hit a limit, the library tells you which plan is needed.

Why you might not see the library

The entry appears only when your account is linked to a campus of an institution that’s on ChimeEdu. If your school runs an institution and you don’t see it, ask your institution admin to check your campus on their Teachers page, or to send you a teacher invitation.
Items marked No longer available point at content that was archived, deleted, or whose owner left the institution. Your existing copies aren’t affected.

Filtering by subject and grade

When your institution has tagged its resources, Subject and Grade band filters appear above the cards, and each card shows its tags and any note the curators added.
